Main
Room

Because this salty little cottage is so compact, the main room must do double duty, serving as both living room and dining room.

With floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides and clear "Suntuf" roofing over the beamed ceiling, the main room is really a sunroom.

The large windows and transparent ceiling combine to allow plenty of sunlight (and moonlight!).

This combination also opens up the room to the spectacular views of the bay, especially at sunset.

A very happy space to inhabit!

Further enhancing the "seaside cottage" feel is the use of beaded board to line the walls, all painted a crisp white.

And the warmth of the solid pine flooring adds just the right contrast to the white walls while blending well with the cottage theme.

Just outside the French door is a paver-lined patio, complete with a large stackstone fire pit, perfect for those summer barbecues and winter bonfires.

Back inside, the main room is heated by a small freestanding propane stove.

The stove not only keeps the main room snug but it also adds a nice touch of ambience after hours.

And to give credit where credit is due, the owners have certainly helped to complete the look by adding a fair amount of salty decor to the room.

From an antique fishing pole to a pair of weathered oars to fishnets, floats and seashells, we think they've made this quite the quaint and quirky place. Fun!
