Typically our focus is on building new "old" houses.
Occasionally we tackle a minor restoration of a vintage instance.
Once in a very blue moon, however, we stumble upon a historic case gone to the weeds, one in dire need of rescue, restoration and remodel on an epic scale.
This old gal was one such case.
While this house really is an old house, probably an old farmhouse circa 1900, over the years it had been gutted and badly remodeled numerous times so that virtually no original interior details remained.
Our challenge was to recreate, as authentically as possible, what this old house may once have looked like.
Or could have looked like with a little care, creativity and craftsmanship.
