Bath
Nothing says "old house" more, and in a more exciting way, than an Art Deco bathroom.
Although this old house was actually minted in the early 1900s, we decided to "modernize" the main-floor bath by bringing it squarely into the streamlined age.

Black and white tile is a hallmark of the early-twentieth-century bathroom, and this one does it in spades.
The white-tile wainscoting with black accent strip and border is a classic.
Another standard feature of a typical '30s bathroom is the fully tiled shower enclosure, separate from the tub
This particular example adds plenty of Deco pizzaz to the bath.
And let's not forget that ubiquitous one-inch hexagonal flooring tile so common in the '20s and '30s.
Here we complete the look by adding a classic daisy pattern, tiled in black.
