We just can't think of anything sweeter than a cozy little
seaside cottage. And this one, situated on a lovely waterfront
parcel on beautiful Marrowstone Island, is just about as sweet
as it gets.
At roughly 400 square feet, this tiny yet priceless jewel
may be short on square footage but it is very long on
craftsmanship, character and charm. In fact, pound for pound,
we think it represents pretty much the ultimate in custom
interior finish. See what you think!
But before we get to the photos, let's address the glaring
question, namely: Why in the world would anyone in his or her
right mind build a 400-square-foot home?
Well, it's not a mystery, really. The ultimate purpose of this
little beauty is to be a guest cottage. The owners are still
planning the "big" house on the property and want to use the
cottage for temporary digs until it is finished. (Of course,
we wouldn't be at all surprised if they decide their little
seaside cottage is just too sweet to abandon to mere guests
and scrap the big house entirely!)

could live in 400 square feet, too!)
